FOR THE ANORECTAL MALFORMATION SURGICAL TREATMENT
The surgical treatment for the anorectal malformations has changed drastically with the introduction of the PSARP technique, an approach developed by Prof. Dr. Alberto Peña.
This surgical procedure requires a series of technical details to be observed and, a very important one is the precise location of the external sphincter striated muscle structure, where the rectum is repositioned.
This is achieved with the striated muscles electrical stimulation.
The EM901 is a muscle stimulator specially developed for this surgical technique. It is a current pulse generator and the pulse amplitude range is suitable for all the surgical needs, from the initial transcutaneous stimulation to the direct stimulation of the exposed muscles.
The EM901 is easily installed close to the surgical field as it is light, compact and has a clamp for attachment to the IV pole and is powered by batteries. An acoustic indicator signals when the electrical current is delivered through the muscle tissue.
An ethylene-oxide sterilizable bipolar electrode is provided with it.
